How to Activate Social Fundraising with Instagram & Facebook on GivenGain

GivenGain now integrates with Meta's social fundraising tools. This allows fundraisers to share their GivenGain campaigns directly on Instagram and Facebook, making it easier to reach new donors. With a single tap, fundraisers can:

  • Share to Instagram (mobile) – Add the campaign to their profile and post Stories with a Donate button.
  • Post to Facebook – Include a Donate button automatically and show real-time funds raised.

This guide walks you through how to enable Meta Sharing for your nonprofit — in just a few easy steps.


Step 1: Get Your Charity Approved for Meta Fundraising Tools

Before you can use the Meta Sharing integration on GivenGain, your nonprofit must meet Meta’s eligibility requirements.


Requirements:
  • Facebook Page: Your nonprofit organisation must have an official Facebook Page.
  • Meta Fundraising Tools: Your organization must be onboarded with Meta’s (Facebook's) fundraising tools.


Instagram-Specific Setup:

Note: Once you have submitted the application, Meta will be in touch. Only once your charity has been approved by Meta, will you be able to move onto Step 2.


Step 2: Enable Meta Sharing on GivenGain

Once you’ve completed the Meta onboarding, it’s time to turn on the integration on your GivenGain account.


Here’s How:
  1. Visit the Meta Sharing Integration page on GivenGain
    👉  Meta Sharing
  2. Search for your charity by entering your Tax ID.
    If your organization is eligible and onboarded with Meta, it will appear in the search results.
  3. Follow the prompts to activate the integration for your charity.

Once enabled, your fundraisers will see new sharing options directly on their campaign pages!
