Getting started with fundraising on GivenGain is quick and easy! Whether you’re joining an existing event or creating your own campaign, setting up a page takes just a few steps - and a little personal touch goes a long way.

Here’s a guide to the two main paths:

1️⃣ Fundraising as Part of an Event

If you’re taking part in an organized event, this is the path for you.

Steps:

  1. Click Sign Up in the top right corner.
  2. Select I’m a Fundraiser and log in with Facebook or your email
  3. Enter the 4-digit code sent to your email, create your account, and accept the terms.
  4. Search for the event and then click into the event page.
  5. Click Start Fundraising, pick your charity, and personalize your page. A few images, a short story, or a quick video really helps bring it to life.
  6. Make your page live and share it—friends, family, colleagues, or even that book club you keep meaning to join.

Tip: Small updates along the way help keep supporters engaged. For example, on your project page, click Post an Update and link your latest Strava activity, add a training selfie or just thank your donors for their support so far. This update will get emailed to all your donors and could lead to additional donations!

2️⃣ Fundraising for Your Own Campaign

If you’d rather create a campaign independently or with your team, for a cause you care about personally, you can start your own page.

Steps:

  1. Click Sign Up in the top right corner.
  2. Select I’m a Fundraiser and log in with Facebook or your email.
  3. Enter the 4-digit code sent to your email, create your account, and accept the terms.
  4. Click Start Fundraising, pick your charity, and personalise your page. A few images, a short story really helps bring it to life.
  5. Make your page live and share it—friends, family, colleagues, or even that book club you keep meaning to join.
Tip: Adding a little story or image makes your page more relatable and encourages donations.

Whichever path you choose, the key is to personalize your page and make it easy for supporters to engage. A clear story, a few visuals, and some thoughtful sharing are all it takes to get started.
