Donating Through Your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) on GivenGain

GivenGain makes it easy to support your favorite fundraiser or charity using your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF).
Important: To ensure your donation is properly attributed to the fundraiser, campaign, and charity, please complete your donation directly through the DAF payment option on the GivenGain platform. Donations made directly through your DAF provider's website will not be automatically linked to the fundraiser or campaign you wish to support.
When you donate through GivenGain using DAFpay:
- The donation experience remains simple and familiar.
- Charities receive the funds through their normal GivenGain payout process.
- Fundraisers receive credit toward their fundraising goals.
- Your donation is attributed to the correct fundraiser and campaign.
- No additional action is required from the charity.
How to Donate Using Your DAF
Step 1
Visit the fundraiser or campaign page you wish to support.
Step 2
Click or tap on the Give button.
Step 3
Enter your donation amount.
Step 4
At checkout, select DAF (Donor-Advised Fund) as your payment method.
Step 5
Search for and select your DAF provider. Complete the authorization process when prompted.
Step 6
Confirm your donation. Your donation will be processed and attributed to the fundraiser and charity you selected.
Why This Matters
Many donors initiate grants directly through their DAF provider's website. While the charity may still receive the funds, these donations often:
✘ Cannot be automatically linked to a specific fundraiser.
✘ May not count toward fundraising minimums or goals.
✘ Will require additional manual reconciliation by the charity.
✘ Reduce visibility into campaign performance.
